Trip to Colorado: Part 1

Me and Lucas took off to Colorado Springs for the week to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. Our flights were ok, but I was really nervous and nauseaus most of the way unfortunately. A few more bumps than I care for. Mom and Jim picked us up at the Denver airport and then we went to eat at a crazy mexican restaraunt where they have indoor shows and cliff jumping! Luke loved it. We got back to their house and Luke was ready for a bath.

The next day we went out to breakfast and went to Territory Days in Old Colorado City. It's a huge festival with arts, crafts, music, and FOOD! Here we are enjoying meat on a stick.

Lucas got some ink too!

On Monday we went to Bear Creek for a little hike. It ended up being a little longer than we anticipated...note to self, look at a trail map before starting out! It was a lot of fun though, and a good workout. Here's Luke on top of a monument on the trail.

This is Bear Creek, it looks more like a trickle though. Luke couldn't decide if he wanted to be in the picture or not, so mom just took it.

We're having a great time here so far. It's so nice to spend some time with my family! I'll post more later about the Incline we did on Tuesday in part 2.
